Columbia man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two women
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested Derek Tarwater, 32, on suspicion of sodomizing two women at a residence on Locust Grove Church Road in the Midway area.
Deputies said Tarwater was arrested on Wednesday morning in Ashland.
Deputies said the victims reported the suspect assaulted them separately during the late night or early morning hours of Sept. 15 or 16.
The victims and and the suspect know each other, deputies said.
Tarwater is currently in the Boone County Detention Center.
Tarwater is currently facing possible charges of first-degree sodomy.
