Woman arrested with stolen gun, drugs in purse

A Columbia woman has bonded out of jail after being arrested for possession of a controlled substance and having a stolen gun.

Police were called to Claudell Lane for a weapons incident Thursday night. Police say Collineice Jones went up to a man she believed had stolen her cellphone.

Witnesses told police Jones showed a black pistol and used it in an angry and threatening way toward the man.

Police say Jones allowed officers to search her purse and car.

In her purse, police say they found the black pistol that appeared to be stolen. They also say they found a clear plastic baggie with marijuana and a digital scale.

In her car, police say they found a baggie in the center console that had five pills that tested positive for Ecstasy.

Jones was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and stealing. She also had two warrants for her for larceny and stealing.
