Multiple Columbia schools put on lockdown

Our Lady of Lourdes Interparish School, Aslin Administration Building and West Middle all went on modified lockdowns on Monday fro about 20 minutes.

According to the Columbia Police Department, officers were called to a shots heard in the 1700 block of Claudell West Worley. The report was cleared.

Our Lady of Lourdes released the following text:

“At approximately 1:35 pm, we were notified by Columbia Public Schools of a report of shots fired across the street from OLLIS. We went into a modified lock down and teaching continued. The lock down was lifted at 2:05 pm. Safety is our top priority. We appreciate your cooperation in these situations.”

The lockdowns have been lifted.
