Pickup driver injured after crash with semi truck

A pickup driver went to University Hospital in Columbia Tuesday after a crash involving a semi truck on I-70 near Boonville.

The Cooper County Fire Protection District shared photos of the crash that show the pickup wedged into the back of the semi.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when pickup driver Raymond Klaus, 75, hit the slow-moving semi driven by Rolando Rodriguez-Cambar, 49.

Klaus had moderate injuries from the collision. Rodriguez-Cambar had none.
