Increasing clouds ahead of Irma

MONDAY: Monday will bring another beautiful, sunny day in mid-Missouri. After a cool start to the morning, we’ll see temperatures climb into the upper 70s by the afternoon hours. Winds through the day will shift out of the northeast under 9 mph, reinforcing the cool and dry air that’s already in place across Mid-Missouri.

TONIGHT: A dry and slightly warmer night is ahead of us, but overnight lows will still drop into the mid 50s. Clouds will begin to increase overnight from the southeast ahead of Irma. Winds will be out of the northeast under 8 mph.

EXTENDED: Tuesday afternoon will see partly cloudy skies from Irma’s northerly track. This will likely bring some spot showers to areas south of Hwy 50. Winds could be gusty up to 25 mph as we head through the day on Tuesday. Once Irma exits to the northeast, we’ll see temperatures return back to summer standards and plenty of dry time. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s, with overnight lows in the low to mid 60s. As we close out the week, some areas could even break into the 90s.
