UPDATE: Woman dies after Staff for Life called to crash on MO 94 and AA in Callaway County

UPDATE 9/8: Lori Bremer, 44, of Tebbetts, has died from her injuries sustained in the crash.

Bremer was stopped in a 2003 Ford Mustang and yielding to oncoming traffic in an attempt to turn left onto Route AA. Bremer was hit from behind by a 2015 Volkswagen Passat, which went off the road and into a ditch. The vehicle that Bremer was in rotated and stopped in the road.

ORIGINAL STORY: Staff for Life was called to a crash at Highway 94 and State Road AA on Thursday in Callaway County.

The call came in at 3:30 p.m. as a serious crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened when a Ford Mustang was struck from behind by a Volkswagen Passat. The Passat then ran off the road into a ditch and the Mustang rotated from the impact.

The driver of the Mustang, Lori Bremer of Tebbetts, suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Columbia hospital.

The road was briefly blocked, but re-opend before 4:45 p.m.
