Hatton man charged in connection to car theft, burglary and arson
The Callaway County Prosecutor’s Office charged a 45-year-old Hatton man Friday after a lengthy investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office said Larry Threlkeld is believed to be involved in a motor vehicle theft, burglary and arson investigations dating back to December 2016.
Callaway County deputies arrested Threlkeld on Sept. 1 after searching a home on County Road 254 near Hatton.
During the search, the Sheriff’s Office said deputies found Threlkeld in possession of firearms, stolen property and narcotics.
He was charged Friday with two counts of second-degree burglary, second-degree arson, stealing a motor vehicle, two counts of stealing a firearm, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
He was also charged with misdemeanor stealing and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
Threlkeld is being held in the Callaway County jail on a $30,000 bond.
