Callaway County man charged with statutory rape, sodomy, child molestation and sexual misconduct

A Callaway County man has been charged with first degree statutory rape, two attempts of first degree sodomy, first degree child molestation and first degree sexual misconduct after raping a minor.

On April 23, Callaway County authorities responded to a Callaway County Children’s Division Investigator who needed assistance with a hotline report.

According to the report, Anthony Collins was having sexual contact with a minor.

The minor said that Collins forced himself on her multiple times. Collins admitted to having sexual contact with the minor and that he knew it was wrong.

Collins reportedly moved to Carter Lake, Iowa in an attempt to get away from law enforcement and the Children’s Division investigations. Collins also has no prior criminal history.
