Slight shower chance Saturday night, hot Labor Day
TONIGHT: We’ll have a cool night as temperatures fall to the low 50s by morning under clear skies and light winds.
SATURDAY: It will be cool in the morning with passing clouds. Skies will become mostly sunny by afternoon with high temperatures near 80 as winds remain light.
EXTENDED: Isolated showers are possible Saturday evening as a weak front moves through. These are possible by 8 PM north of HWY 70, heading south of I-70 through 2 AM. Most areas will stay dry since these will be very spotty. Lows Saturday night will drop to near 60. Clouds will linger into early Sunday then clear out, leaving us with a much warmer day as temperatures climb into the upper 80s with winds shifting to the southwest up to 6 mph. Summer heat returns Monday as we reach 90 degrees for Labor Day with abundant sunshine. A chance of rain returns late Monday night into Tuesday morning as a cold front moves through which will cool temperatures back to the mid 70s next Tuesday. Rainfall looks meager, as most locations will likely see less than .25″. Much cooler air settles in for the middle of next week with days in the low to mid 70s and nights in the upper 40s to lower 50s, feeling like fall for the second half of the week.
