Deputies arrest two people on suspicion of having drugs, stolen gun
Boone County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and woman Friday morning after drugs and a stolen gun were found during a traffic stop on Route Z near East Mexico Gravel Road.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department said deputies stopped the van because it didn’t have working tail lights and the license plates checked to another vehicle.
The driver, Donald Rybolt, 63, of Columbia and the passenger, Terry Ricketts, 53, of Fulton were arrested after deputies searched the van and found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a gun reported stolen out of Jefferson City. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department said both Rybolt and Ricketts are convicted felons.
Rybolt and Ricketts are being held in the Boone County Detention Center each on $20,500 bond. They face charges of distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm unlawful for certain persons, possession of a controlled substance; stealing and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
