Dry, warm days ahead into the holiday weekend

TONIGHT: We’ll have a few clouds overnight with low temperaures dropping to near 60 by morning. Patchy fog is possible as winds remain light from the northeast.

WEDNESDAY: The day will start with mostly sunny skies but we’ll pick up a few more clouds in the afternoon. High clouds ahead of Tropical Storm Harvey will increase late in the day from the southeast but most area will have a warm, partly cloudy day with highs in the lower 80s. Winds will stay under 8 mph from the northeast.

EXTENDED: The mild nights and warm, dry days continue through the weekend but we will have some cloud cover from Harvey Wednesday night through Friday mainly south of I-70. Since Harvey is expected to take more of an easterly track, rain is not expected in Mid-Missouri but far southeast Missouri could get some rain from it Thursday into early Friday. We will have great weather for Labor Day weekend with warm, dry days. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s Sunday which looks like the warmest day of the 3 day weekend. A chance of rain returns late Monday night into Tuesday morning as a cold front moves through which will cool temperatures back to near 80 next Tuesday.
