Calm week ahead, but a chance to see impacts from Harvey by the weekend
TUESDAY: It will be a mild day for late-August as high temperatures only reach near 80 under mostly sunny skies. Winds will come in from the north up to 8 mph, keeping humidity low.
TONIGHT: Temperatures look to remain in the low 60s under mostly clear skies by the morning. Winds will remain out of the north under 6 mph, but calming through the overnight hours. We will have yet another chance to see patchy fog by the morning.
EXTENDED: The rest of the week features mostly sunny skies, with a slight warming trend as highs will be in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the lower 60s. Clouds and moisture from Harvey could move north into Missouri as we head into the second part of the week. We could see increased cloud coverage ahead of the storm system south of I-70 by Thursday morning. It’s too early to tell exactly where Harvey will track, but there is a chance we could see some scattered showers from the decaying system by Saturday, again mostly likely in our southern counties. Temperatures will be seasonal by the weekend with highs in the mid 80s and nights in the lower 60s. Watch ABC17 News for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
