Dense fog advisory for the morning commute
MONDAY: This morning we will see dense fog through the morning hours as a dense fog advisory is in effect for mid-Mo’s western counties until 9 AM. We could see visibility less than .25 mile. Isolated showers and storms are possible through the afternoon hours, as the frontal system finally tracks through Mid-Missouri. On the backside of the front, clouds will decrease from north to south giving way to mostly sunny skies. We’ll see highs top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s, with low humidity.
TONIGHT: Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies as overnight lows drop into the upper 50s. A calm breeze will allow for the chance of fog to develop again by the morning hours.
EXTENDED: The rest of the week features sunny skies, with highs in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the lower 60s. By the middle of the week, we will see a return of humidity. With that will come heat indices in the mid to upper 80s. This weekend the remnants of Harvey could bring us some scattered showers and storms, especially south of I-70. It’s entirely too early to tell where the track of Harvey will track, but there is a chance we could see some scattered showers from the decaying system.
