Nice start to the weekend, storm chance Sunday

TONIGHT: Through the overnight hours we will see mostly clear skies as temperatures drop to near 60 by morning. Winds will be out of the east up to 6 mph.

SATURDAY: Saturday will be slightly warmer with highs in the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. Winds will come in from the southeast up to 8 mph.

EXTENDED: There is a slight chance of rain in northwestern Missouri Sunday morning which could affect areas north of HWY 24. Most areas won’t see rain until Sunday afternoon as the cold front moves south. Spotty showers and t-storms are possible Sunday afternoon through the evening hours with rainfall amounts of .10″ to .25″ from these storms. There is a marginal threat of severe storms east of HWY 63 Sunday afternoon for the potential of isolated 60 mph wind gusts or quarter size hail. By Monday morning we are dry and much of next week looks dry with below average temperatures as nights dip to near 60 and days in the low 80s.
