State senator removed from committee appointments
Missouri Senate Leader Ron Richard, (R) Joplin, announced Tuesday he is also removing State Sen. Chappelle-Nadal from all her committee appointments under his authority.
“I support the decision of Senate Minority Leader Gina Walsh to remove Sen. Chappelle-Nadal from all of her Senate committees.” said Richard.
Many top Republicans and Democrats have called for Chappelle-Nadal’s resignation after responding to an online comment last Thursday, saying “I hope Trump is assassinated!” before deleting it on her personal Facebook page.
The Democrat later apologized again over the weekend, but says she is still not planning to step down after making a mistake.
