Lower humidity and clear skies will make it feel like fall

TONIGHT: A Flood Warning continues for the Moreau River near Jefferson City until Thursday evening, the Missouri River at Waverly until Friday evening, and the Blackwater River at Valley City until late Thursday night. We remain dry under mostly clear skies through the night, with temperatures bottoming out in the mid to upper 50s. Thanks to northerly winds under 10 mph, we’ll gradually see lower humidity filter into the region. Patchy fog is possible in the river valleys.

WEDNESDAY: It will be a beautiful fall like day as temperatures top out in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Low humidity will make it feel pleasant, with winds sustained out of the north under 11 mph.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week features highs near 80 with overnight lows in the upper 50s and mostly sunny skies, feeling more like fall for the morning hours. A d ry weather pattern will continue through the week into the first part of the weekend, allowing us to dry out from the recent heavy rains. We are watching the potential for more rain to arrive in Mid-Missouri as we head into next Sunday. How much and who will be impacted will have a lot to do with a tropical system that is likely to track into the Gulf of Mexico.
