Dry and sunny Saturday with increasing heat and humidity
TODAY: Skies will be mostly sunny throughout the afternoon with dry conditions. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s with a light northwesterly breeze under 5 mph. Heat index values will make it feel like the mid 90s.
TONIGHT: We will see mostly clear and dry conditions tonight. Temperatures will bottom-out in the mid to upper 60s with light winds shifting out of the southeast.
EXTENDED: Under partly cloudy skies, Sunday will be hot and more humid as temperatures reach 90. The humidity will make it feel like the upper 90s. There is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening for our far western counties. Eclipse day continues to show the greatest chance for partly cloudy skies, along with a chance for some isolated storms through the morning. Temperatures will reach close to 87 at the start of the eclipse and fall to the low 70s by mid-eclipse, due to the lack of solar insulation. As the eclipse ends, temperatures will rise back into the upper 80s, approaching 90. A better chance of storms moves in Tuesday afternoon ahead of a cold front.
