CPD arrests man accused of yelling racial slurs, brandishing knife

Columbia police said they responded to a report of a man yelling racial slurs at two black men in the 1100 block of East Broadway Wednesday night.

A witness told police she saw Joshua Enloe punch one of the black men in the shoulder, leading to a fight between Enloe and the two alleged victims.

The witness also told police she saw Enloe standing at the corner waving a knife and yelling threats at passersby after the two black men left the area.

Officers said they arrived to the scene to find Enloe with his left elbow scraped and a fillet knife in a sheath in his pocket that had a 5.5 inch blade.

Police arrested Enloe for unlawful use of weapons but they were unable to find the victims.
