Victim identified in ATV crash at Finger Lakes State Park
The victim from the ATV crash at Finger Lakes State Park was Kathleen Plante, 47, of Independence.
According to authorities, Plante was wearing a helmet. She was traveling up a hill with a steep incline and the ATV turned over backward onto Plante causing fatal injury.
ABC 17 News previously reported that the crash happened about a half a mile off of Peabody Road.
A friend was also operating an ATV and led first responders, the Boone County Fire Department, to the flipped ATV. The woman passed away after responders attempted to perform first aid.
