Storms ending Wednesday night, drier Thursday into Friday

TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will continue to taper off and end through the early morning hours. No severe storms are expected the rest of the night. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 60s to low 70s.

THURSDAY: A few showers are possible near I-44 through early-morning but most areas will be dry with skies becoming partly cloudy. It will feel more comfortable due to slightly lower temperatures and humidity. High temperatures reach the mid 80s with a westerly breeze up to 15 mph.

EXTENDED: Skies will be mostly sunny Friday with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s. Our next chance of rain comes Friday night into Saturday morning. We could see a few strong storms associated with this overnight event, as another cold front will be tracking through Mid-Missouri. Saturday afternoon we will see drying conditions as the summer-like weather continues. Temperatures will climb to near 90 by Sunday with partly cloudy skies. It will be hot and humid through the weekend. Eclipse day continues to show the greatest chance for partly cloudy skies, along with a chance for some isolated showers by the afternoon.
