Person shot in the foot on Greensboro Drive in Columbia

UPDATE: 10:00 a.m.: Columbia police officers were called to the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for a call about a person with a gunshot wound.

Police say when they got to the area, they saw blood stains at one of the homes. A short time later, officers were told a man had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police did not find any shell casings, but they did see damage to a residence.

Witnesses told police they heard multiple gun shots before the man was taken to the hospital.

ORIGINAL: Columbia police were investigating a shooting on Greensboro Drive Tuesday night.

Officers received the call around 11:40 p.m.

According to an officer at the scene, one person was shot in the foot and is expected to be okay. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police told ABC 17 News the shooting happened outside.

As of midnight Wednesday morning, no one was in custody.
