Columbia Hy-Vee employee arrested on suspicion of stealing from store

Columbia police arrested 19-year-old Summer White, suspecting her of felony stealing.

White, an employee of the Hy-Vee market on West Broadway, is accused of returning merchandise through her register and then taking the money for the merchandise.

Police say the amount White stole was around $1,500.

The woman was released on a $4,500 bond.
