Periods of storms late Tuesday night through Wednesday

TONIGHT: It will be another warm, muggy night with low temperatures in the low 70s. Showers and t-storms will move in after 1 AM from the southwest, tracking through Mid-Missouri into the morning hours. These are not expected to be severe.

WEDNESDAY: Spotty showers and t-storms will move through in the morning and end with skies becoming partly sunny in the afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 80s and it will be humid, making it feel like the mid to upper 90s in the afternoon. A few storms are possible by late-afternoon but will become more numerous in the evening, ahead of a cold front. There is a marginal severe threat for the potential of isolated strong wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters.

EXTENDED: Plenty of moisture in the air will allow for the chance for some heavy rainfall. Rainfall amounts of .50″ to 1.0″ are expected in most areas with some areas getting up to 1.50″ due to heavy rain in some storms through Wednesday night. Any lingering showers early Thursday morning will end and we’ll be dry until Friday night with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s to end the work week with lower humidity. Our next chance of rain comes Friday night into Saturday morning as the summer-like weather continues. Temperatures will climb to near 90 by Sunday with partly cloudy skies.
