Deputies arrest man accused of stabbing, strangling woman in Boone County

Boone County deputies arrested a man Tuesday after reportedly stabbing and strangling a woman.

The sheriff’s department said it happened in the 4500 block of Bellview Drive, just off Scott Boulevard, around 8:15 p.m.

A woman there flagged down deputies and had a small stab wound in her right leg. The woman reportedly said Pierre Irving, 49, strangled her and stabbed her.

Deputies found Irving in a nearby home and took him into custody.

As of Wednesday morning, he is in the Boone County Jail without bond.
