Dry, unseasonably cool weather continues

MONDAY: High temperatures today will only reach into the lower to mid 80s as more dry and sunny conditions continue. Winds will remain light out of the east as surface high pressure north of Missouri slowly pushes to the east.

TONIGHT: Early evening conditions will be perfect once again with temperatures in the lower 70s and low humidity. Skies will be mostly clear overnight with a dry easterly wind up to 6 mph. By Tuesday morning overnight lows will be in the mid 60s.

EXTENDED: Tuesday will be warm and partly sunny day with the high temperature in the mid 80s. There’s a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon hours. We’ll start warming back up to average high temperatures for early-August by Wednesday with highs in the mid 80s. Overnight lows will still be unseasonably cool in the 60s. Another slight chance for storms develops on Wednesday, mainly isolated south of I-70, with better chances for more widespread storms on Thursday due to the passage of a cold front. Behind the front we can expect to see dry weather, but daytime highs are looking to be significantly cooler. Next weekend highs look to be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
