Osage County church vandalized

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving a vandalism case at a Catholic church in Westphalia.

Investigators said the incident happened sometime between 3:50 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Deputies said someone discharged the fire extinguishers, which led to a major clean-up effort as well as possible damage to artifacts in the sanctuary.

Anyone with information is asked to call 573-897-0911 to speak with Deputy Kinworthy.
