Missouri law enforcement releases speeding crackdown results

Missouri law enforcement officials said a recent crackdown on speeding in the state lead to 1,951 speeding citations.

From July 21-23, Missouri law enforcement participated in, “Obey the Sign or Pay the Fine.” It was a six-state effort to crack down on speeding.

A list of the issued citations included:

3,728 total traffic citations 54 DWI arrests and citations 79 drug arrests 213 felony arrests

The director of highway safety for the Missouri Department of Transportation said he’s pleased with the results, but “we still have a long ways to go.”
