Ride that malfunctioned at Ohio State Fair will not be at Missouri State Fair

The Missouri State Fair will not include “The Fireball,” the ride that tragically malfunctioned at the Ohio State Fair on Wednesday night.

The Missouri State Fair runs from Aug. 10 through Aug. 20. The operator for the Ohio State Fair is not the same operator for the Missouri State Fair. Wade Shows is the company running the fair.

According to CNN, one died and seven others were injured in the incident at the Ohio State Fair.

“‘It’s been looked at about three or four times over the course of two days,’ said Michael Vartorella, chief ride inspector for Ohio’s Division of Amusement Ride Safety. ‘It was inspected at a couple of different stages and it was signed off on Wednesday.'”
