Showers & storms, heavy rain potential
TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will increase overnight and gradually move southeast through early morning. Heavy rain is expected with some of the storms mainly along and north of I-70 and localized flooding is possible. Areas north of I-70 could see 1-3″ rainfall with lower amounts south.
THURSDAY: Showers and t-storms will decrease through the morning and end. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with a chance of storms developing south of I-70 in the afternoon and moving south through early evening. Areas along and south of I-44 are under a marginal risk for severe weather Thursday afternoon as damaging wind gusts are possible. It won’t be as hot with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80s with winds shifting to the northwest under 10 mph.
EXTE NDED: High temperatures will cool back into the low to mid 80s from Friday through the weekend with nights in the low 60s. Skies will remain mostly sunny with low humidity and light northerly winds, giving us several days of pleasant summer weather.
