Numbers down year to year for Boone County Fair
The Boone County Fair saw a drop in attendance this year.
According to President Jeff Cook, about 4,500 people came to the fair in Sturgeon last week.
That’s about 2,500 less people than what the fairgrounds saw in 2016.
Cook said he believed last week’s heat advisory may have kept some people from attending.
