One dead after shooting on Quail Drive in Columbia

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the 2700 block of Quail Drive.

Police said a man was pronounced dead at the hospital after the incident Saturday evening. It happened around 6:30 p.m.

Bryana Larimer, a CPD spokesperson, said the 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital in a personal car. His name hasn’t been released yet.

Police are investigating what led up to the gunshot. At this time no other information is confirmed.
