Sunday brings comeback for heat and humidity

TONIGHT: Skies will stay clear overnight keeping conditions comfortable. Due to those clear skies, the overnight low will sit near the mid 60s with gentle winds under 5 mph from the south.

SUNDAY: Your morning will start off enjoyable with clear and sunny skies. Temperatures will rise into the lower 90s by the afternoon with heat indices rising into the upper 90s. Although it will be sunny and dry, outdoor conditions will likely be hot and sticky. Some relief will come as Sunday evening approaches with temperatures in the lower 80s with light variable wind. Due to a cold frontal passage coming from the northeast, areas east of US 63 have the potential to see a few hit and miss thunderstorms by late evening hours. The rest of Mid-Missouri will stay dry overnight.

EXTENDED: A building ridge from the west will allow the return of dry weather along with heat and humidity for next week. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s Monday and Tuesday and the mid-upper 90s by Wednesday and Thursday. Heat indices will climb back into the triple digits starting Wednesday through the end of the week. For additional weather updates follow us @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and like us on Facebook.
