Columbia man seriously injured in Boone County crash

Tyler Swetnam, 32, and of Columbia, was driving west on Route K when he went off the right side of the road around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

After Swetnam drove off the side of the road, troopers said he crashed into a reflector sign and went airborne.

Swetman then struck a culvert and flipped over.

Troopers said Swetnam was wearing his seat belt. He was sent to University Hospital with serious injuries.

Swetnam’s car is totaled.
