Two juveniles in custody after foot chase near Risen Star in Columbia
UPDATE 2:10 P.M.: When officers arrived on scene at 2:02 a.m. on the 1500 block of Native Dancer Court, they found a magazine from a gun in a backyard, and witnesses saw two juveniles running from the scene.
The victim that had his gun stolen from his vehicle on the 4000 block of Hockaday Place confirmed that the magazine that was found on Native Dancer Court was his. When the two juveniles were taken into custody, the stolen gun was also found.
UPDATE 10:43 A.M.: The foot chase is over and two juveniles are in custody. There are K9 units on scene and police are looking for other suspects that may be involved.
There was a shots fired call at Native Dancer Court and Derby Ridge around 2:00 a.m. this morning. According to reports, a gun was stolen out of a vehicle. A second shots fired call came in around 9:00 a.m., which is when the foot chase started.
It is still unclear if these incidents are connected.
