One injured in Jefferson City shooting

One person was hospitalized after being shot in Jefferson City overnight.

Police say they responded to the 1200 block of East High Street around 10:40 p.m. on Thursday for reports of several gunshots with one person hit.

Officers found the gunshot victim who they say is going to be OK.

The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated.
