Columbia man found guilty on assault charge
A jury found a man guilty on two charges after he was accused of kidnapping and assault in Columbia.
Terrence Hartmann was found guilty Friday for third-degree domestic assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Hartmann was charged with eight felonies after the incident in August 2016. A woman said Hartmann held her and her children hostage for several days in a home on Greeley Drive. Hartmann was later arrested for kidnapping, assault, armed criminal action and endangering the welfare of a child.
Hartmann will be sentenced on July 31.
