Woman flees from Miller County officers in patrol vehicle, on foot

A Miller County woman led officers on a chase after driving away in a patrol vehicle.

Officers who were with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Eastview Drive, just outside the City of Eldon.

Officers inspected the vehicle and found narcotics that belonged to the female sitting in the vehicle. She was identified as a woman with several felony warrants out for her arrest. Officers took the female into custody and put her in the patrol car with her hands handcuffed behind her back.

The suspect made her way into the driver’s seat of the patrol vehicle and started to drive away. She then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. She hid in a wooded area on Industrial Drive, but was eventually caught by officers near Maple Street and Eighth Street.
