Hallsville woman turns herself in on rape and sodomy charges
According to a press release, a 26-year-old Hallsville woman turned herself in on Tuesday to the Boone County Detention Center after charges were filed against her on suspicion of statutory rape and statutory sodomy involving a juvenile male.
Amanda M. Jones, of 113 Wesley Avenue, is being held on $100,000 bond.
Boone County sheriff’s deputies received a report in early April regarding possible recent sexual activity between the suspect and victim at Jones’ residence.
