Hot again Thursday as storms arrive

TONIGHT: Low temperatures will remain warm, falling into the upper 70s. Skies will remain mostly clear for most of Mid-Missouri with increasing cloud cover to the north. Storms in far northern Missouri Wednesday night could make it as far south as HWY 24 by Thursday morning. THURSDAY: Showers and t-storms are possible in the morning along and north of HWY 24. Clouds will be thicker north of I-70 which will keep high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90. Areas south of I-70 will be hotter, reaching the low 90s with heat indices reaching 100-105. Storms will increase north of I-70 by mid-afternoon, pushing south through the evening. Some could be severe with damaging wind or large hail the main threats. EXTENDED: Temperatures will come down a few more degrees Friday with a better chance of storms early, before noon. High temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 80s and heat indices in the lower 90s. The weekend looks mostly sunny with high temperatures in the upper 80s Saturday and lower 90s Sunday.
