Woman charged in Phelps County with animal neglect
A woman is charged with animal neglect after two pit bulls were euthanized in Rolla.
Crystal Ousley was evicted from her home at 126 Brovo St. on June 13. Deputies say she failed to make arrangements for two pit bulls, and left them at the home without food or water.
When deputies went to retrieve the dogs, they had to use sedatives to calm them down and take them to a vet clinic. When the dogs continued to display, “vicious,” behavior, the decision was made to euthanize them.
Ousley is scheduled to have a court date on July 25.
