Hot and humid Friday

TONIGHT: Conditions will remain dry and skies mostly clear as temperatures drop into the lower 70s overnight. Winds will be turning southwesterly between 3-7 MPH.

TOMORROW: It will be hot and humid for Friday with temperatures expected in the upper 80s and even close to 90 degrees. With that humidity, heat indices will make temperatures feel more like the low-mid 90s. Winds will be shifting to the west-northwest between 5-10 MPH.

EXTENDED: Heading into the weekend, a surface area of high pressure will settle in Mid-Missouri, bringing drier and cooler air into the picture. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s Saturday with relatively low humidity. A warm front will move across Mid-Missouri Sunday, giving us a slight chance for a few showers or thunderstorms as high temperatures climb into the mid to upper 80s and humidity starts to climb . Next week looks hot with high temperatures near 90 both Monday and Tuesday, reaching the lower 90s Wednesday and Thursday.
