Rain ends Wednesday evening, hot and humid Thursday

TONIGHT: Showers and isolated t-storms will gradually end through the night. Skies will remain partly cloudy and begin to clearly from the northwest to southeast by the morning. Light winds will allow for a chance of fog by the morning hours. Low temperatures will drop into the upper 60s with light winds.

THURSDAY: After some patchy morning fog, skies will become mostly sunny and temperatures will climb to the upper 80s to near 90 with light winds under 7 mph from the north. Heat indices will reach the low 90s.

EXTENDED: A cold front will drop into northern Missouri Thursday night moving south through Friday morning. Storms in northern Missouri along this front will move southeast overnight Thursday and will weaken. Areas north of I-70 have a slight storm chance but most areas will stay dry Thursday night. This front will slowly move south Friday with an isolated storm possible but most areas will have a hot and mostly sunny afternoon as high temperatures reach the upper 80s. Heading into the weekend, we’ll have to watch for rain chances in western Missouri, possibly affecting areas near HWY 65 Saturday morning as a complex of storms moves southeast. Clouds will spread into areas west of HWY 63 Saturday morning from the rain in western Missouri while areas farther east will have more sunshine. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s Saturday. A warm front will move across Mid-Missouri Sunday, giving us a chance of a few showers or t-storms as high temperatures climb into the mid to upper 80s. We will have updates the weekend rain chances as new data comes in. For additional weather updates follow us @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and like us on Facebook.
