Showers & T-Storms Wednesday

Showers and t-storms will become more likely as we head into Wednesday morning and will continue into the afternoon as an area of low pressure moves across southern Missouri. Showers and t-storms will be more numerous south of I-70 but a few are likely farther north, especially in the afternoon. These will be scattered, gradually shifting east through the afternoon as areas west dry out first. Rain could linger into early evening along I-44 near Maries, Phelps and Pulaski Counties.

A few strong storms with small hail and wind gusts to 50 mph will be possible but severe storms look unlikely in most of Mid-Missouri. There is a marginal severe threat in southeastern Missouri which includes areas east of a Owensville to Rolla line.

Rainfall amounts up to an inch are possible in eastern Missouri while areas west of HWY 63 will have much lower amounts of a half inch or less.
