A few safety tips for the last day of Salute to America

Salute to America wraps up on Tuesday and organizers along with Jefferson City police have put together a few guidelines for you to enjoy the event through Tuesday night. That includes:

Keeping your belongings and children close to you. Have a plan in place in case anyone in your party gets lost. Make sure they know how to find an officer. JCPD will have a mobile command center on the corner of High and Jefferson streets if assistance is needed.

In addition to the humid weather, it’s important to keep a bottle of water nearby or some form of hydration.

The event will conclude with the Red, White, and Boom fireworks sky concert at dusk on the North Capitol lawn.
