CPD investigating pair of armed robberies

The Columbia Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that happened Sunday morning.

Police said the first happened around 6:19 a.m. in the 3900 block of Timber Run Drive. The victim told police he was sleeping when four people entered his home through an unlocked back door.

The victim said one of the suspects had a gun. He said the two men and two women stole things from his home and then took off on foot.

The victim wasn’t hurt.

The second robbery happened just before 11:30 a.m. at the Subway on S. Ninth Street in downtown Columbia.

An employee told officers a woman walked into the restaurant with a knife, demanded money and took off on foot.

She was last seen wearing a navy shirt and shorts with a bandana over her head.
