Child hurt in three-vehicle crash in Jefferson City

Two people are recovering after a multi-vehicle crash in Jefferson City on Monday.

The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 50 and Madison Street.

According to the Jefferson City Police Department, the driver of a minivan was heading westbound when the driver got into the left turn lane to head southbound on Madison Street.

In the process, the driver side-swiped a Jeep, which rolled over onto its top. The van then rear-ended a truck.

The driver of the Jeep was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

A child passenger in the truck was taken to Capital Region with minor injuries.

The crash happened near Salute to America’s SSM Health/St. Mary’s Parade.
