Man flown to hospital after Flyboard accident at Lake of the Ozarks
An Overland Park man was taken to the hospital Sunday evening with serious injuries after falling from a Flyboard at the Lake of the Ozarks.
The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. in the Crane Cove.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Brian Effertz, 46, was steering a Flyboard, a device that hovers above water, when he lost his balance. Troopers said he fell 10-12 feet landing on top of a Seadoo.
Effertz was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.
