Rainfall decreasing by the afternoon
TODAY: Morning showers and storms will weaken and move southeast, ending by early afternoon. As a cold front slowly moves south of I-70 into the afternoon hours, additional storms could develop mainly along and south of I-70. Storms will move south of the area Friday evening with drier weather late Friday night. Today highs will stay in the low to mid 80s.
TONIGHT: Dry conditions for Friday evening. Mostly cloudy conditions will remain as temps drop into the 60s. Winds out of the northwest will subside.
EXTENDED: This weekend looks dry until late-day Sunday with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s but not as humid. However, as we head into next week the cold front lifts northward as a warm front, and sets the stage for another active start to the work week with an increasing chance of storms Sunday night into Monday. The humid weather returns Monday as high temperatures reach the mid-upper 80s. Periods of storms are likely through the middle of next week with seasonal temperatures, reaching the mid to upper 80s each day.
