Morgan County man charged with first degree statutory rape
A Morgan County man has been charged with first degree statutory rape of a child less than 14-years-old.
A detective with Morgan County was contracted after a a detective with the Osage Beach Police Department was called to a Kid’s Harbor interview for an 11-year-old victim.
According to the interview, the victim was alone with the suspect, Andrew Short, at his home when the assault occurred.
The victim suffered injuries from the assault. Short was charged on April 17 and the incident occurred around Feb. 14.
