Warmer and more humid conditions for Wednesday
TODAY: The cold front impacting mid-Mo from yesterday will lift north as a warm front. Rain is possible with this, but will stay north of mid-Mo. Humidity will be on the increase as the front lifts. Temperatures through the day will climb into the lower 90s, with heat indices in the mid 90s through the day.
TONIGHT: Temperatures will begin to fall into the upper 60s under mostly clear skies. Winds will remain out of the southwest under 8 mph.
EXTENDED: Temperatures will continue to climb through Thursday. Thanks to humidity not being as high, we’ll only see heat indices in the middle 90s through Thursday. With the increasing heat and humidity, this will set the stage for another round of showers and storms with each passing upper level disturbance. Isolated showers and storms are possible Thursday, but the better and more widespread chance of rain arrives by Friday. Friday a cold front will be dropping into mid-Missouri, providing us with a heavy rain and thunderstorm chance into the weekend. The unsettled pattern looks to continue through the weekend into next week, as moisture from the tropics will likely keep us on the wet side.
